The ACT is a college entrance test that most colleges and universities use for determining student admissions. ACT, Inc. administers a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper test. The test includes four main subjects, English, Science, Reading, and Mathematics. However, some colleges also ask for an optional writing section for the students. Thus, the students should check beforehand to prepare for the writing section to score well on the ACT. The ACT basically measures the percentage of things a student learns at school.
The ACT’s governing organisation does not provide any minimum eligibility criteria or recognised prerequisites for taking the test. However, because the ACT is used to assess a student’s college preparation, the candidate must have completed high school coursework. Fluency in English is also a must for any candidate hoping to get a good score on the test.
